I have always been a super huge fan if the 80's, from the movies, music, fashion to the celebrities! I've always said if I could live in any other time it would be then. The breakfast club, Back to te future an pretty in pink are all in my all time fave movies!
So when I heard about the new Carrie diaries show, set in the 80's, I soooo excited!!!
However I didn't have a tv :( thankfully my younger sister had *ahem* acquired them so when I moved back home I couldn't wait to watch them!!
I've been back 1 day and am already on to season 2! Oops :/ and well I'm sure you can guess what happened next.. I'm in love!!!!
Today I was getting ready to go out, whilst watching The Carrie Diaries (of course!!) and decided I was going channel my inner Carrie Bradshaw!!
I curled my hair with a curling wand (using the small end to get super tight curls) and only used minimal face make up with a strong brow and a pop of colour on my lips.. And here's the finished look! I love it!!
What I wore:
Jumper - Jay jays
Jeans - Jay jays
Shoes - Kmart
On my face:
Rimmel wake me up foundation
Benefit blush in Dandelion
Benefit's They're Real mascara
Thin Lizzie as eyeshadow
Australis brow pension in blonde/light brown
Rimmel apocolips in Stella
I'm loving this look, seriously considering getting my hair permed like this!!

The curls suit you so well! What wand did you use to accomplish this? I can never get these kinds of tight, define curls on myself, so I'm really curious! x

DeleteI'm not sure exactly what it is, as I no longer have the box! It's a Remmington curling wand!! It's one that gets smaller towards the end, I only used the small tip as it makes them tighter. My hair never stays like this for long though, it always drops out, that's why i do them so tight to start off with!

I loveeee your hair! Curls really suit you, you look like Carrie! I also love Carrie Diaries..I still need to catch up on the end of season 2 but I used to be obsessed, I will finish eventually! haha

Oh my goodness you are just the cutest! Do curls normally last on you? Like do they stay all night or they fall out pretty fast (like me:( )?
ReplyDeleteThank you :) My hair used to be terrible at holding curls, like I would do it in layers and the bottom layer would drop out before I'd even reached the top! It was super annoying! But I used to have really heavy thick hair, then I went to my hair dressers and got it thinned and ever since I can curl my hair and it lasts like 3 days!! Do you have thick hair? That could be whry getting it thinned?!
