Perk up and away...

So I recently received the "Perk up and away" pack from Benefit and have been using it everyday since! I love love love it!!

I've always loved Benefit make-up and was super exited to try this out!

The packaging is super cute! Pink and orange is my fave colour combo for summer!!

In the pack was:

The pore-fessional primer
Watt's up! - highlighter
Posie Tint - Lip and cheek tint
Dandelion blush
They're real - Mascara

The porefessional primer:

This was surprisingly amazing! I have super dry skin so I usually stay well clear of primers as they dry my skin out. I'd heard this was good so I thought i'd give it a try! I actually really enjoyed it, it made my make up last all night (through me sweating at te Taylor Swift concert) and didn't dry my skin out!
I did try this without a moisturiser underneath however and it wasn't so flash, after a few hours my skin began to dry, but my makeup stayed put!
If you have dry skin like me make sure you wear a moisturiser first otherwise this is an A+ product!

Watt's up highlighter:

I'm not a huge highlighter fan, I have a really nice concealer that slightly shimmers that works perfect for a cover up and highlighter. This was actually the first highlighter I've every tried and it's ok.. I'm not a huge fan of having a huge shimmery line at certain points of my face. This highlighter was super creamy and really easy to apply thanks to the sponge applicator at the bottom, however it was very easy to put on way more than necessary!
The overall effect, for me personally, was a but much! However could work for a night out.
I still like it, just won't be used as much as I hoped it would!
If you are going to use this product make sure you start off with a small amour and build it up! It's very easy to put on way more than needed and end up looking slightly drag!!

Posie lip and check tint:

Love love love this!! This product looks super natural on, and is so easy to apply! You basically just put a few dots where you want the product, smudge it in and done! It's that simple!
It give such a natural flushed look and can be topped up with power blush if you want a more dramatic look. I love using this for work, it's easy and unnoticeable!
I love the colour too, a soft peachy pink (my fave summer colour), and is super pigmented so you only need a little.
For the lips it good for a base, I often will put my fave coral lipstick over the top, although it works well as a slight tint with lip balm over the top, although I have found the colour fades on my lips quite easily. Other than that this is a pretty cool product, I would love to try the other tints available!!

Dandelion blusher:

An old classic! And I can tell why they've kept it around!! I love this blusher, it's so natural but also has a slight shimmer to it, to give a sort of glow, which is perfect for spring/summer!
If you want it a bit more dramatic, for a night time look, I put the posie tint underneath and perfection!!
Definitely an A+ product, I've used it everyday since I got it!! Just YES!!

They're real mascara:

 Before
After (wow)

Now let me start if by saying I'm not a huge mascara fan, I'd much prefer a nice brown mascara that adds a sight tint to me lashes and I'm done.
That said I did enjoy this mascara, it went in easy, had good coverage and did make my lashes look fuller and longer. As long as you didn't blink in the first 5 minutes after applying it! And as someone who suffers from very bad hay fever, trying to to sneeze, in the middle of summer, so my mascara won't go everywhere was a huge challenge!! So I would often have to wipe black lines from my eyelids and under my eye after using this!
I did use this for nights out though and it worked well so I will definitely keep this, just might not use it daily, especially in summer!!

Well that was long! I hope you enjoyed this, or it was helpful in anyway! I love trying out new products and will hopefully be able to do more reviews soon.

More mountain climbing.

Went back up the mountain this morning! With Sam (my boyfriend) this time. It was good, much easier than last time, we've decided that we're going to do it every Monday from now! (Monday is the only day we have off together!!)

Yay for exercise!
